Bel Ombre Hotels - getting to and from and around once there
Bel Ombre is situated in the center of some beautiful sugar cane plantations. The beach at Bel Ombre is stunning with unspoilt white sand. There is also a historical side of this region because of the sugar plantations and there are some magnificent mansions on some of these plantations.
The most scenic coastal tour of Maurituis leads from Morne Brabant to Souillac.
The trip along the coast of Morne Brabant across the colorful Creole village of Baie du Cap with police station and post office in typically Creole houses to Bel Ombre is rewarding and has a fantastic view. Bel Ombre was recently made available to tourists with the building of three luxury resorts (Le Telfair, Heritage Golf & Spa, Mövenpick Voile d’Or) and a golf course.
La Vanille Reserve des Mascareignes
One of my favorite places in Mauritius is not the beaches, but most probably the Vanille Crocodile park, bring your childrens there and they will have a taste of adventure walking in the jungle, eating crocodile, learning so many thing about endangered species known only in Mauritius, observe the Mauritian giant bats and my favorite, just keep it for the end of your tour there, The magnificent park of Mascareignes giant turtles. I have been many many times in Mauritius and almost every time I go there, never been disappointed.
And if you really want to bring something exotic what about some Crocodile skin stuff.
Fantastic park, nice atmosphere, friendly people, what else could we ask for, yes just one thing, remain open for a little bit longer in the afternoon
Played the course on Nov 12th not long after heavy rain but was impressed with the drainage & course condition. Unless you are a good striker of the ball/ low h`cap it would be best to play from the blue tee or less. The long par 4`s are difficult to reach, even more so when the wind picks up as it blows straight into your face on these holes! Avoid the rough. Once a ball goes in, forget it & reload. You can get the driver out on many holes but blaze away at your peril. Often a fairway wood will do the job.Putting surfaces are good & true but not too fast. I took a buggy which was expensive as was the round, but found out after i could have had a caddy for a mere snip. Great course great views.

Activities: archery course, hiking, mountain bikes and motorised circuits by Quad or 4×4.
